Edward Burtynsky

Edward Burtynsky gilt als einer der weltweit erfolgreichsten zeitgenössischen Fotografen. Das vorherrschende Thema in seinem Werk ist die durch die Industrie veränderte Natur, und er hat einige der ergreifendsten Beispiele dafür auf der ganzen Welt dokumentiert. Edward Burtynsky wurde 1955 in St. Catharines, Ontario, geboren und hat seinen Sitz in Toronto. Seine Fotografien befinden sich in den Sammlungen von über sechzig bedeutenden Museen auf der ganzen Welt, darunter die National Gallery of Canada, das Museum of Modern Art, New York, das Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid, die Tate Modern, London und das Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Kalifornien.
