Christophe Guye Galerie is pleased to announce its new online exhibition "Animal Kingdom". This exhibition, which can only be seen in our virtual gallery, is dedicated to one of the most universal themes in the history of art: animals. As a primary subject in art, the depiction of animals testifies to the importance of this primordial relationship between animals and humans in all art forms, countries, and eras.
Since prehistoric times, animals have been an important source of inspiration and creativity for artists. Whether wild or domesticated, real or imagined, representations of animals are found in all civilisations, and this ubiquity is a testament to the strength of their symbolic charge. The exhibition features a selection of works by Peter Beard, Nick Brandt, Balthasar Burkhard, Simen Johan, Rinko Kawauchi, Kosuke, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Albert Watson, and Michael Wolf.
Although this is a virtual exhibition, all works can be viewed at the gallery. Please contact us in advance to make an appointment to view the works.
