Founded in Los Angeles in 2006 by Christophe Guye and based in Zurich since 2010, the gallery is one of the leading international venues for contemporary fine art photography. It represents national and international artists who situate photography within the broader context of contemporary art practice and whose work makes significant contributions to art-historical discourse, the development of the medium, and contemporary art as a whole. In addition, Christophe Guye has been a lecturer in the Visiting Gallerist Programme at the University of Zurich’s Teaching and Research Centre for Theory and History of Photography since 2021 and, since 2024, serves on the Advisory Board of the T3 PHOTO FESTIVAL in Tokyo.
The gallery stages four to six exhibitions annually, featuring both its represented artists as well as guest artists and curators. Its activities further include the ongoing advising of collections, curating and organizing exhibitions in collaboration with institutions, museums, and partner galleries, and participating regularly in international fairs such as Paris Photo, Photo London, MIA Milan, Unseen Amsterdam, and Photo Shanghai.
In addition, the gallery offers exclusive limited editions of photo books and magazines published by independent publishers such as amana, Edition Nord, and Torch Press, Tokyo, as well as Mörel Books and Nobody Publishing, London. It also carries a curated selection of titles from the Zurich-based art bookshop Never Stop Reading.
