Camminare insieme – walking together: the theme of the 8th edition of the Alt+1000 photography festival is an invitation to experience the landscape in a different way – through movement, encounters and observation! After three memorable editions in the La Brévine Valley, Alt+1000 is once again on the move. The festival will take place from 13 September to 5 October 2025 in La Vue-des-Alpes, an iconic site renowned for its open panoramas and its historical link with mobility.
This new edition highlights the diversity of perspectives with 18 Swiss and international artists and more than 140 works. The artists, from different generations and linguistic backgrounds, using a variety of photographic approaches, offer a collective reflection on the landscape. How do we perceive it? How do we traverse it, inhabit it? The landscape becomes a trajectory, a path to be travelled, a space of movement that mobilises the body and awakens the gaze.
