weit

 –

'weit' is an exhibition about an attitude towards life. About broadening horizons, dissolving boundaries and being one. But also about the longing for freedom, the vastness of the imagination and the limits of the imagination. Space is presented as landscape and horizon, but also as potential: the unknown space. Borders are dissolved in the creation of the image itself: For a visual experience of colours, forms and light beyond the representational. Life is understood as a pendulum movement between expanse and narrowness. The works tell not only of the challenge of giving up control, but also of the difficulty of dealing with freedom.
