Winner and Shortlist of the 3rd Prix Pictet at the first Night of Photography in Zurich
It is difficult to look at this exhibition without being moved, even angered. And yet, however bleak their message, the creativity and spirit of these artists also gives us hope that we, the human race, have the capacity to find, to agree and to realise the answers to these challenges. I want to congratulate each of the photographers for the power and beauty of their work.
– Kofi Annan, Honorary President of the Prix Pictet
Alongside Mitch Epstein’s work, winner of the third 'Prix Pictet', as well as the photographs of Chris Jordan, the winner of this year’s commission, this group exhibition will show the works of all twelve nominees, further including other world famous artists such as Christian Als, Edward Burtynsky, Stéphane Couturier, Yeondoo Jung, Vera Lutter, Nyaba Leon Ouedraogo, Taryn Simon, Thomas Struth, Guy Tillim, and Michael Wolf. Similarly, the gallery was delighted to announce the closing event of the exhibition, a book signing with German-born photographer Michael Wolf who presented his latest publications.
